FireMap FAQ

What is FireMap?

FireMap watches the public status pages of the payment providers listed on PayAtlas and brings what they report into one place.

It does not replace a provider status page — it reads it, so you can follow the whole ecosystem at once.

Where does the status data come from?

Every status comes from the provider's own status page or its feed, read automatically.

Nothing is entered by hand, so a provider that has not reported an incident is shown as operational.

How often is it updated?

Each tracked status page is checked about every five minutes.

The numbers on this page are at most a few minutes behind what the provider last published.

What do Up, Degraded and Outage mean?

Up means the provider reports normal operation, Degraded means partial or reduced service, and Outage means a major disruption.

The wording belongs to the provider; FireMap maps it onto these states so that providers can be read side by side.

Resolved marks an incident the provider has closed; hovering it shows when it was resolved.

What does the status bar show?

One column per day, split by how much of that day the tracked providers spent operational, degraded or in outage.

A provider is missing. Can it be added?

Yes. Request the provider and it joins the monitoring as soon as its status page is found.

Providers already listed on PayAtlas are picked up on their own once they publish a status page.
